Harshita hails from Banjara hills, Hyderabad.
She is studying 3rd standard in Sri Sai Model High School, Cherlapally. Her father Naga Malleswara Rao left his mother Bhulakshmi after marrying another woman.
He also killed Harshita's brother in a drunken state . Presently her mother is working as house maid in local houses at Banjara Hills. When it became difficult for her to support Harshita for her education and food she contacted Sphoorti foundation.
